When I was browsing Lemme, Kourtney Kardashian’s line of supplements, at Erewhon a couple months ago, I was discouraged from buying the product after a salesperson came up to me and said that they’re ‘just sugar and water’. Yet, the brand has been all over social media as a key part of many girls’ wellness routines. This made me intrigued to take a deeper look as to what actually goes into Lemme’s products and to find out whether the brand is a legitimate supplement company or if it’s just popular because of its founder being well-known.

First of all, it’s important to note that there are a variety of mixed reviews when it comes to this brand. Certain products, such as Lemme Glow and Lemme Sleep, have been praised for their effectiveness, while others such as Lemme Debloat have received complaints for not delivering results. Some individuals have gone so far as to call the brand’s products ‘snake oil’ – a term used to describe a substance with ‘no real medicinal value that is sold as a remedy for all diseases’.

It’s important to note that the United States regulates supplements more like food than drugs, meaning that FDA approval is not required. The US also does not require supplement companies to disclose the exact amounts of ingredients in proprietary blends of their products. While some of the ingredients used in Lemme supplements have been tested in clinical trials, it’s been noted that the products themselves have not been tested in clinical trials.

Lemme Sleep, their supplement which promises to help you fall asleep faster and achieve better quality sleep purportedly contains 5 mg of melatonin, which is quite a strong amount. The typical dose for melatonin ranges from 1-3mg, with 5mg generally being regarded as the very maximum dose for an adult.  Melatonin Dosage: How Much Melatonin to Take. This product contains a proprietary herbal blend as the third ingredient, though what’s concerning is that the amounts of each herb here are not disclosed. This makes it difficult to determine if one will even feel the effectiveness of these herbs after taking the supplement.

Lemme has also released GLP-1 Daily Support Capsules which claim to ‘support GLP-1 production, appetite, and weight management.’ Interestingly, this supplement of theirs only contains 5 ingredients, none of which are considered to be ‘strong fat burners’. While the brand’s marketing signals powerful results, the effect of these gummies at best, are likely to be more modest than expected. The company was even sued for deceptively advertising this product as a weight loss supplement.

This was not the first investigation for a class action lawsuit that Lemme has faced. They were also investigated in 2024 by Zimmerman Reed for their Lemme Purr supplement, with the firm claiming that ingredients used in this product were not credible. Lemme Matcha is one of the brand’s well-known products, which is supposed to help consumers feel more energized. The main ingredient in this product is vitamin B12. However, this only helps you feel more energized if you are already deficient in this vitamin, which is not the case for most people. Coenzyme Q10 is the third main ingredient, which is generally not stable at a high enough dose to be effective in supplements. After this, the gummy contains organic tapioca syrup, organic cane sugar, and water. This evidence suggests that these energy gummies are not that effective, which explains why they have received a lot of negative reviews.
